Olivia Ong!!!

Simply gorgeous.

Last Friday she and her newly formed Olivia Ong Quintet was giving a FREE performance at Esplanade's Living Room by invitation from Singapore's Moasic Music Festival.

So being her absolute fans, me and Winnie went on down and joined the throng of other likeminded to be serenaded by her voice.

Give me more!

I know this is way overdued but I was really caught up in life (*Insert puppy eyes*). What can I say?

Okay shoot me.

Moving on. =)

We started off with our fave subway at which turned out to be absolutely crap. Who could have thought a well recognized foodchain could have produced such inpalateble shite?

An omnimous start.

Afterwhich we went to shop around abit, which in truth was me doing the shopping and Winnie doing the nagging. HAHAHA! As I went through clothings that caught my eye, she would constantly comment on how riduclous I would've look.

It's heartwarming, and at the same time, enduring.

Since none of the clothes I like she felt likewise, I decided that we should head off to Esplanade and hog a spot instead of brickering about every individual piece and justifying the buy.

Turns out to be a prudent choice!

The place was already nearly swarmed, with fringes of the crowd beyond my view. Somehow we managed to worm through the mob and even manage to get a seat. What luck!

A 45 min wait later, all the shoving and pushing we endured paid off.

Is this overdoing it?

Photobucket
I certainly hope so!

A real siren ain't she?

We sat there snapping pictures while being captivated by every note and word of her songs. Everything she sang that night has a funkier and more playful edge to it. You have to be there to totally understand how divine the experience was.

After it all ended, we met up with Aueralis, Dentised and Delusion from our guild at a nearby cafe. They look a couple of Secondary school kids at best. But it was really nice meeting them in the flesh.

Me and Winnie part ways with our guildies and strolled back to Raffles City. We chatted for awhile siting on the edge of the indoor fountain before her friend arrived and picked up.

Following which I met up with Gimo and head over to the *cough* pub Thomas works at.

Photobucket
Me with a stupid pose.

Photobucket
The joint.

Photobucket
Another part of the pub with one of the employees. Chevvy was his name I think.

It's a pretty cozy place with a soothing ambience. Cept the crowd was slightly unnerving.

Yes Thomas works at a gay bar. But he's a straight. Or till enough money can bend him over for that matter. LOL!

From my mouth sprouts trash. Don't take my rubbish too seriously.

For the record, Thomas is straight and is deeply in love with his GIRLFRIEND. Too bad ladies. Better luck next life!

I had an Lycee Martini under Thomas's recommandation that it wasn't too strong. Apperantly he either overlook my incapacity to hold anything stronger than coke or he's just out to get my drunk to pimp my ass to the highest bidder.

Photobucket
What's your poison?

Whatever!

So I nurse my drink for the rest of the night while chatting with Gimo and Thomas from time to time and watching gay flicks in between.

Photobucket
Couple for the night!

The most memorable yet traumatising one was "Fogi is a Bastard". Kids might be reading this so all I'm gonna say is it puts "gay" in "this is some freaking sick gay shite".

Photobucket
Don't watch it, for the love of god.

Don't get me wrong. I don't hate gay. I sincerely believe everyone is entitled their individualism. But the flick was too goddamn perverted to the brink of being overtly digusting.

At 3am give or take, Thomas knocked off and the 3 of us headed to Maxwell market for a late supper.

Photobucket
Yum yum!

Photobucket
[Hokkian]: HOR EH!

Photobucket
I hate him 'cause his way~ more handsome me. Hrm. Then I should probably hate all my guy friends!

Food was great and the company was even more so. Serious chatting inevitably followed and before we managed to get the point Gimo was bringing across, it was near 5. We then hopped on one of the many cabs camping along the stretch of road and headed home

Photobucket
Where are the windows?

Now is that a long post or what?

P.S. We're not gay. Really. Wipe that unconvinced look off your face or I'm gonna eat it.
